Annyeong, Delhi! Get The Freshest Seafood Catch at Swagath

Delhi is a vibrant city where people from every corner of the world are warmly welcomed. It’s a place where you can find the nostalgic taste of your hometown. But some flavours might be hard to come by in Delhi especially if you’ve come from the North East Asia. Yes, we’re talking about getting the freshest seafood, the real taste of the ocean.

That’s exactly why Swagath has become such a special spot for our guests coming from South Korea. As one of the most trusted seafood restaurants in the city, we bring India’s coastline straight to your table.

Find a curated list of our highly recommended seafood dishes that will reconnect you to your hometown:

Start Here: Seafood Soup

Swagath’s first recommended seafood is the seafood soup, introducing you to Indian coastal flavours:

  • How it’s made: A light, comforting broth is simmered with fresh shrimp and fish; aromatics are kept clean to maintain the familiar sea flavour.
  • Why it feels familiar: Think of it like a softer Indian version of Maeuntang. Soothing, not too spicy soup and a great start before trying our main course of seafood dishes.

Tandoor & Grill Favourites

We know how much grilled food you love back at home. Have a look at Swagath’s top seafood grill favourites:

  • Tandoori Prawns
Fresh and high quality prawns are gently marinated in yogurt, lemon, and house tandoori spices, then cooked over charcoal till bouncy and smoky. The key to that succulent taste is slow and unbothered searing that deepens the sea flavour.
We use just enough marinade to glaze and never to mask the true taste. We bring you the natural snap and flavour of each piece.
  • Tandoori Pomfret
Whole pomfret, just the way you like it, scored and marinated with aromatic spices is slow-roasted in a clay oven. The burst of flavours is unimaginable at this point!
The tandoor gives the dish a crisp skin and moist meat. Prepared slowly in balanced heat, topped with a dash of lemon juice gives the dish a citrusy lift which is perfect for fans of grilled fish back home.
  • Fish Tikka Ajwaini
Boneless fish cubes are marinated for a certain time with carom seed (ajwain), yogurt, and ginger-garlic. The delicious pieces are then skewered and lightly roasted. You might find the taste of carom seeds balancing the overall flavour of the dish.
Ajwain adds a warm, toasty perfume (a little like perilla’s gentle punch), making this a favourite for nuanced spice lovers who are seeking freshest seafood in Delhi.
  • Fish Tikka Hyderabadi
Fresh fish is marinated in a cool-spicy paste of mint leaves, green chillies, herbs, and yogurt. These are skewered and roasted over fire retaining the charry aftertaste.
It is a refreshing, herb-forward take on heavy seafood dishes which are made switch heavy cream. While this dosh is bright, green, and lively without any heaviness.

Coastal Starters

You’ll be surprised to find the authentic South Indian taste of our seafood starters  to be new as well as familiar to your taste buds:

  • Mangalorean Tawa Fry (Baby Pomfret / Surmai / River Sole)
Hand-pounded chili-tamarind spice rub, quick pan-sear on a traditional iron tawa till edges go beautifully crisp.
The rub is made fresh every day; you get clean, bright heat and a lemony finish; it’ a signature among our seafood dishes.
  • Fish Fry (Baby Pomfret / Bombay Duck / Surmai / River Sole)
A delicately spiced, coated fish of your choice, is shallow-fried until the crust crackles and the inside stays tender.
Despite being fried, there is zero greasiness. All you will find is just crunch, ocean sweetness, balanced with a squeeze of lime.
  • Koliwada (Prawns / Surmai / Pomfret / River Sole)
This is one of Mumbai’s iconic dishes which is street-style battered with special Swagath spices. Prepared hot-fried and served immediately.
The masala we use for our Koliwada dish is tuned for balance: zingy, not oily, so you keep reaching for “just one more piece.”
  • Butter Pepper Garlic (Prawns / Surmai / Pomfret / River Sole / Crab / Lobster)
A classic trio of butter, Kerala black pepper, and garlic is tossed with the seafood of your choice and enjoyed while hot.
We use organic peppercorns for a clean, nose-tingling warmth that lifts the taste. Not for the faint hearts though! The delightful burning sensation is comforting and deeply moreish.
  • Prawns Ghee Roast
Brick-red Mangalorean masala is cooked slow in ghee till glossy. Once the masala is prepared, fresh prawns are tossed to coat and roasted to perfection.
That perfect balance of chilli heat and caramelized ghee sweetness is totally addictive. Prepared to be shared among your best lot.
